I kept the number of advertisements has minimum as possible to allow more news stories to be put in the newspaper. These advertisements are very local and something people can aspire to.

Masthead

• Newspaper price - 20p  would be a very reasonable amount for a local newspaper as people are not willing to pay that much. This is also evident in my qualitative and quantitative data.
• Date/Month/Year - Thursday Dcember 1, 2011
• (Maybe) website - www.localnews.com
• Sometimes there may be advertisements in the masthead of the local newspaper (massage parlour)
• Title - Willesden Gazette. Every local newspaper has its local area name inside and has a journalistic touch to it. From my qualitative and quantitative data, the terms "gazette" and the "times" were very popular.

• Weather with little explanation
• Missing person with little explanation

This will add to the reality of a newspaper so that is looks more professional and not just news stories and more news stories.

Opinion Poll

These opinion polls that you found in a local newspaper are of concern of local issues such as crime/council plans/etc. So I thought that rising fares for pedestrians is a cause for concern, especially with the Olympics coming up. With their pictures, express their views BUT keep is as minimum as possible.
